Hometown Holiday is a family fun filled evening with the Borough tree lighting, Santa and Mrs. Claus arriving on the fire truck, live DJ, free holiday hay rides (weather permitting), vendors, selfies with Santa and every child receives a small gift. Free Victorian photo booth, strolling brass band, The Warren County Singers and other seasonal characters. Free kids crafts with Dove Environmental Education. Open house/shopping in our stores and restaurants.

Tree Lighting & Santa Arrives
Santa arrives on the firetruck to light the town tree in Veteran’s Park! Music with DJ Rupe and Performance by the Warren County Singers!

Santa Meet & Greet @ The Field House
Selfies and meet and greet with Santa, Mrs. Claus and the Ice Princess at The Field House (13 E Washington Ave), free gifts and crafts with the Girl Scouts

Holiday Hay Rides
Free rides from the downtown lot near the tree takes you on a delightful holiday ride around the borough. Weather permitting, First come first serve. Line will be cut off for last ride at discretion of the carriage company.

Join members from the Jewish Center of Northwest New Jersey for

Dove Environmental @ Kathy’s Kove:
Free kids crafts and environmental education for kids outside of Kathy’s Kove (5 E Washington Ave)!

Come to confidence builders (24 E Washington Ave) to create an ornament to be added to the town tree!
Victorian Photo Booth @ Bricks, Bots & Beakers:
Stop by Bricks, Bots & Beakers to meet our Victorians and dress up in old time fashion to get a free holiday photo!
Strolling Little Brass Band:
Keep and eye out all over town for the little brass band as they carol their way along the streets and through the businesses!
DJ Rupe @ Veteran’s Park:
DJ Rupe will be spinning your favorite holiday tunes under the Rossi Auto Pavilion all night to add a delightful soundtrack to your evening!

Gingerbread House Making & Contest @ Habitat Community Center
The Habitat for Humanity Community Center will be hosting a gingerbread house making party for kids! Come build a free gingerbread house (while supplies last) and enter it into the contest!
Want to be a Vendor for 2025?
We will be releasing a limited number of vendor spaces for this event, spaces are first come first serve. $10 vending fee for a 10'x10' foot space along E. Washington Ave during the event. Please be advised that this event happens at night and lighting is limited to the the streetlights on the street and additional lighting will not be provided. This is an outdoor rain or shine event. To register as vendor please download the application below and return to the BID office either by mail or email. Payments can be made via the PayPal link below or cash or check can be mailed or dropped off the BID office at 21 Belvidere Ave, Washington NJ 07882.

Businesses get your holiday displays ready as the annual business holiday decorating contest will be back for 2025! Decorate your storefronts and show off your holiday spirit in time for Hometown Holiday. Our super secret panel of judges will be around that night to photograph the businesses displays, prizes will be awarded for the most festive and creative storefronts.
