Starting on Veterans’ Day, Washington Borough is launching a community-wide effort to collect items for care packages for servicemen and women stationed abroad.  Spearheaded by the Washington Borough Business Improvement District and in partnership with Operation Jersey Cares, businesses and organizations throughout the Washington Borough area are collecting donations of non-perishable food items and miscellaneous goods for our troops. Through Christmas, individuals can donate items in collection boxes at participating locations across Washington Borough which we will donate to Operation New Jersey Cares to send care packages to our military personnel.
