WASHINGTON (July 28, 2010) - Quick Chek, a premier chain of more than 120 fresh food store locations throughout New Jersey and Southern New York, recently announced that its Washington Borough store, one of its busiest, celebrated its 35^th anniversary serving customers in Washington and in the surrounding communities.

As part of the celebration, the Washington Business Improvement District presented the store, located at 30 Belvidere Ave. with a certificate of recognition.

"Thirty five years is a hallmark for any business," said Sandi Cerami, Executive Director of the WBID. "Our Quick Chek is truly a part of the community. Many of its employees have worked at the store for many years, and live in the area. Personal, friendly service is a given.  Most of the staff and customers are on a first name basis, despite the high volume of their sales.  It is clear why they are so one of the busiest Quick Cheks in the State."

Opening its doors for business May 24, 1975, Washington Quick Chek is currently managed by Store Leader Chris Schneider and employs a dedicated staff of 38 local team members, many of whom have worked at the store for many years. 

"We're excited to celebrate 35 years business with our friends and neighbors," Schneider said.  "Beyond our famed fresh coffee offering and expansive array of food choices, our customers also know us as an active member of the community proudly supporting regional events and organizations such as Big Brothers Big Sisters and the VFW.  We thank our patrons as we mark this exciting milestone."
