Folks will be “cruisin’ to the blues” when Washington Borough’s Cruise Nights kicks into a higher gear on Friday, July 2nd as Eight Days of Blues, a six-piece band, is the featured musical act at the First Friday Cruise Nights hosted by the Washington Business Improvement District and sponsored by Rossi Chevrolet Buick Pontiac GMC.
Eight Days of Blues specializes in its own original blends of Chicago and Texas-style blues infused with elements of Latin, jazz, rock, and traditional R&B.
The FREE Cruise Nights take place in the center of the Washington Borough Downtown (Route 57) from 5-8 p.m. All cars and trucks are welcome, including hot rods and custom restorations. Owners are encouraged to just “show up.” There are no registration fees or limitations. “Cruise nights are a part of Americana,” said Ed Rossi, owner of the Rossi car dealership on Route 31 in Washington Township and the Vice President of the WBID. “Blues music is also a part of America so this is a match that will be a lot of fun.” Eight Days of Blues has been together since 2005, but its members have decades of experience performing varied styles of music. Featuring two drummers and four different lead singers, the band’s unique lineup makes Eight Days of Blues stand out, entertaining audiences with a high degree of diversity to their distinct sound.
