| WBID Board of Directors gains new member, Hathaway; Bredin, Hamburger, Mulligan, Winters re-elected |

Hathaway, along with incumbent Marian Bredin of Good Impressions, was picked in a two-way race for four slots in the "Professional Business Operators At Large" category. In other contested races, incumbent Monika Hamburger of ComforCare took the lone spot in the "Business Owners Who Own Their Own Property" category while Mark Mulligan, another incumbent who owns buildings at 2 W. Washington Avenue and 37-39 Belvidere Ave., was chosen for the one available spot in the "Owners of Assessed Apartment Or Commercial Property" category.
Elected in the "Business Owners Who Are Tenants in The Assessed Property" category, incumbent Ed Winters of Multi Financial Securities Corp. was the lone candidate. Hathaway, who has been very active with the WBID's Festival in the Borough committee, has been the Washington Borough Branch Manager since 2008. Previously, Hathaway was the Branch Manager of the PNC Bank in Califon, where she also served as Treasurer of the Downtown Merchant Association. In addition to her involvement with the Festival in the Borough, the graduate of Warren Hills Regional High School is a mentor for the school-based Big Brothers/Big Sisters program; is a member of the Community Action Partnership coalition at Community Prevention Resources of Warren County; is a leader for National Girls Ministries (a mentoring program for girls); and is the Secretary for Good Shepherd Christian Academy's Parent/Teacher Association Hathaway, who lives in Belvidere with her husband and three children, began her professional career in banking by working in operations and accounting for a local bank in Hackettstown. From 2000-02 she was the Director of Little Lambs Preschool in Washington and then returned to banking in 2002, working for United Trust Bank in Bridgewater, which later merged with PNC Bank in 2004. The WBID Board of Directors meets once a month, usually on the first Thursday of the month, at 7 p.m. at the WBID office, 21 Belvidere Avenue. Shawn Hathaway, Branch Manager of the PNC Bank in Washington Borough, has been elected to the 2010 Washington Business Improvement District's Board of Directors.
