The Washington Business Improvement District will celebrate its 10th anniversary as part of its Annual Business Recognition Reception on Thursday Feb. 7.
Incorporated in 2003, the WBID has provided Washington Borough's business community with a host of achievements. At the reception, which will be held at the Mediterranean Bistro, the organization's Top 10 achievements will be highlighted, along with the many businesses and business people, who have been honored over the years. The evening, which includes entertainment, light fare, and cash bar, begins at 6 p.m. and concludes at 8.
"We are certainly proud of what we have accomplished over the past 10 years," said Sandi Cerami, Executive Director of the WBID for the last four years. "These past few years have been challenging for businesses not only in Washington, but everywhere. While many downtowns are struggling, for example, we have at least been able to maintain a strong base of businesses and incorporated many events that have enhanced Washington as a go-to destination. There is certainly more work to be done and we are determined to continue to develop new business opportunities for the Borough."
The Business Recognition Reception is sponsored by Unity Bank, Good Impressions Printing & Mailing, New Jersey American Water, and Investors Bank.
