|Washington's July 19 Monthly Art Walk features China Romero and Cathy Miller|
Two artists whose works have previously been featured in Washington, will once again grace the Downtown when the Washington Business Improvement District holds its next Monthly Art Walk on Thursday July 19.
Painter China Romero, who participated in the inaugural Art Walk last November, and Cathy Miller, whose photographs were seen at Gibson's Gym, are just two of several artists who will participate in July.
The Art Walk this month will also feature the eclectic sounds of Jungle Jazz initiative near the Broad Street/Route 57 intersection and solo performer Gianna LaBar by Lost Ladies Café.
Each month, a host of regional artists exhibit their works monthly in mini galleries at businesses throughout the town. An Artists' reception is held at each of the participating businesses from 5-8 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month and the art walk remains on display for about three weeks. The Art Walk is presented by the WBID in conjunction with the participating businesses. This show's sponsors are Home Instead Senior Care, Fliegauf Jewelers, Suburban Consulting Engineers, Inc., and Stuber Insurance Agency.
Romero, a Washington resident, has been involved with a number of projects in recent months, including a show sponsored by Warren County Arts Organization, the Tewksbury Historical Art Show, and she also did the backdrops for Twin Rivers Academy ballet at Lafayette College. Among the art she will show in July is a painting entitled, "Moo." She promises many other surprises.
Miller, whose photos have appeared in many publications, including Inside New Jersey, will dip into her musical past as she displays photos of rock stars past and present.

In addition, another featured artist, photographer Sandy Rathborne, will have works displayed at Gibson's Gym, as well as works by Nancy Steele, Sara Funk Dee Art, and others will be showcased in town as well.
Among the businesses featuring these and other artists' works in July are Kathy's Kove & Kafe, Fliegauf Jewelers, Lost Ladies Café, Gibson's Gym, YB Normal, Sal's Pizza, Ink Works, and Pandora's Box.
Art "walkers" are encourage to dine downtown. Kathy's Kove and Russo's Ristorante both invite visitors to dine and BYOB (feel free drop off the beverages and drop off early to keep them cool for dinner)!
